EECAT2023
1. Welcome Address
Dear Colleagues:
It is our great pleasure to announce the EECAT2023 (International Symposium on Catalytic Science and Technology in Sustainable Energy and Environment). This time the event will be organized in Beijing on the campus of Beijing University of Technology.
The EECAT 1-3 was successfully organized in Tianjin, China, in 2014, 2016 and 2018, and the latter was combined with The 10th International Conference on Environmental Catalysis (ICEC10). Each time, we invited the most active and productive colleagues in these two closely interacting fields of catalytic technology. With the contribution of the participants, we have published seven special issues of leading international journals, including Catalysis Today and International Journal of Hydrogen Energy.
We cordially welcome you to join us in the EECAT2023 and offer you an opportunity to communicate your newest breakthroughs in research on energy or environmental catalytic science and technologies. We look forward to showing you some of the beauty of Beijing, as well as extending our warmest Chinese hospitality.
Sincerely

Conference History and Background
The EECAT (International Symposium on Catalytic Science and Technology in Sustainable Energy and Environment) was initiated by Professor Yongdan Li from Aalto University in Finland (previously at Tianjin University in China) and Professor Johannes W. Schwank from University of Michigan in USA in 2014 and has been successfully held for three sessions, receiving strong support from academic colleagues and industrial in the field of catalytic science and technology. The theme of this symposium is "The Role of Catalytic Science and Technology in Sustainable Development of Energy and Environment", aiming to promote exchanges and cooperation between academia and industry, and use catalytic science theory to guide the development of industrial applications. The EECAT focuses on hot research topics in the fields of energy and environmental catalysis, such as photocatalysis, fuel cells, nitrogen oxide emission control, water treatment, air purification, Fischer-Tropsch synthesis, and biomass catalytic conversion. It promotes effectively the innovation and industrial development capabilities of chemical research institutions and enterprises.
